Information on Temecula
I am thinking of moving to Temecula and I would like to hear from someone that actually lives there or has visited alot about the positive and negative. Do you know the best areas to live? Any facts on crime or gang activity?

this is gonna be brief cause i have passed through and stopped in temecula a bunch of times, but haven't lived there. It seems like a nice place. Like all other ones, it has good and bad areas. But on the whole i'd say its a nice city. My guess is that google is your best friend for finding crime activity.

Temecula is a quickly growing community. My d-i-l Gayle lives in Murietta which is right next to Temecula. There is lots of new schools, shopping centers etc. Gayle works at a bank in Tem. but actually lives in Murietta in a gated community. Housing for a few years was way cheaper than San Diego so lots of people live in Tem but work in SD. My granddaughter goes to one of the newest schools "Lisa J Mails" which is a magnet school for arts & sciences. She loves it there. I dont think crime is a problem yet but that could be because alot of the communities are gated. It is a perfect fit for Gayle and Ravyn. Gayle's mom and sister both live in Tem but are actually only about 3 miles from Gayle. They also love it. It has the feel of a small community when in fact it is pretty big. Hope this helps.

I don't live in Temecula but know many people who do. It's interesting that you ask about gang activity/crime, because Temecula is a VERY family-oriented community. You probably won't hit the crime ridden areas until you go more north into the Inland Empire (215 freeway) or South into SD County.
Temecula is actually a really nice community. The only problem is that it's kind of far from major cities (San Diego, LA). They have decent wineries as well that are fun. |

Is your job in the area? It is my impression that most of the people living in Temecula work some place else- meaning lots of highway traffic. What would your commute be like? Just one factor to consider.

Actually commute is not a problem for work but perhaps for medical care. Does anyone know the closest hospital? Would that be Oceanside or San Diego?
