Blech, On day 12 of the P90X workout

My g/f and I decided to give the P90X workout a try. I saw it on an infomercial and all the reviews I read online said that it works if you follow the program.

The program:
Exercise:
6 days a week, for 3 weeks, to the DVDs (13) they send you.
4th week do light cardio, stretching and recover.
Do this for three months.
Each workout is 50+ minutes. Every other day, a 15 minute ab workout is tacked on at the end. Yoga is the exception at 90 minutes with no ab workout.

Diet:
3 phases, 1 per month of the program.

Start out at low carb, high protein. The diet also calls for low-fat, only SMALL amounts of alcohol.

You intake calories 5 times a day; 3 meals, 2 snacks. Never eat less than 3hrs before bed. All calorie ingestion follows the diet plan. Only lean meats are allowed, low fat dairy, whole grain wheats, etc.
With each passing month, you slowly increase carb intake and reduce protein until they're more balanced.

Right now, we're on day 12 and the diet is friggin killing me. I miss a lot of good fatty foods I can't have now.

I was in pretty good shape to begin with. I feel stronger, but I don't look any different. (Neither does the g/f.)

Anyone ever try this thing or know someone who has? I'm looking for some light at the end of the tunnel because Mac 'N Cheese is looking fantastic right now.

If the cravings are getting to you, try and have some- a bit not a huge bowl full. Or try to find a low or no-fat alternative. The key is to satisify the craving without going overboard. Have some as a side dish instead of as a main dish. Or try melting some cheese (low fat- no fat is too bland) on top of one of your allowed meals. Just avoid the binge of a huge pile. One meal won't kill your plan and will help ease the cravings.

I have a friend that did the P90 workout a couple years ago, it was actually an amazing change. He lost a lot of weight and was a lot more active afterwards. Sadly I've lost contact and don't know how long he kept it up but he swore by it when he was doing it.
