Making a gift for my niece

So I'm going to make a bulletin/picture board for my new niece. Got a big cork board in a frame. Was originally going to criss cross the whole thing with ribbons but Scott came up with the idea to do half that way and leave half the uncovered cork so they can pin notes & what not to it when she gets older. So what I decided is I'll paint the frame white and get a thin finished piece of wood and paint it to match then cover half the board in a cute fabric that matches the ribbons and put the piece of wood in the middle to split the board in two sides. For now, I'll pin some cute animals at the top part and have the ribbons in the lower part like I'd planned. Then finally, I'll have her name spelled out in wood letters at the top. Here are some pics of the stuff I bought today.

Right now, they have magnets on the sides to connect them and wheels on the bottom to make a train. I'm going to remove all those and sand them smooth and just have the letters alone.

The back cloud is a very very light blue but the pic makes it look white. heh
