What's your home remedy for sore throat?

Not sure how, but somehow last nite, I must have caught something. This morning I woke up, and my throat is sore.

I have a big vball tournament in Vegas this weekend that I've been excited about, and I don't want to miss it. Gimme all your sore throat "cures" please.

I already drank a whole bottle of water with Airborne, and now I'm just hydrating myself.

Pickle juice. The combo of salt and vinegar helps.

go to the liquor store and pick up a bottle of Rye..then go to a candy store and get some rock candy (plain flavored)..pour the rye over the rock candy and add a dash of lemon and take as shot of it..old timers used this recipe all the time and I can remember being given this as a kid by my grandmother..it worked..(or at least it knocked me out until my throat didnt hurt anymore!)..also, pickle juice does work believe it or not, and if you don't want to drink the juice just eat the pickles..and don't forget to brush your teeth and tongue uberwell, to get rid of all the nasties..

This works for flu-like symptoms:

Grind up two or three garlic cloves, add juice from one lemon, add a dash or two of cayenne pepper and one crushed 500 Mg Vitamin C tablet. Add boiling water and steep for five minutes with a tea bag. Sweeten as necessary.

We've got a Shaklee product called "Defend and Resist". Whenever I feel like I've got a cold coming on, I start taking it. I've only had a full-blown cold like once in the past 3 or 4 years.
