Evilcyclops is right. Apparently, the witches are up in arms over the Harry Potter movie coming out. They are upset because of it's inaccuracy with the art of flying. According to them, flying can not be done without the brush in front.

If I remember correctly, "real" witchs never claimed to be able to fly, even though the Broom is an essential part of their Rituals.I'd have to talk with my local witch tho... Cause I honestly don't remember...

Even if they could fly... i dont see what the bristles have to do with the whole flying process.
