So I'm at this party Friday night at a college apartment. It's one of those everyone knows everyone party, so strangers are few and far between. Well, we've all known each other for 4 years and one of our friends whom everyone loves shows up with a date. (His first date in over 3 years). The kid has a tough time coming out of his shy little shell and the girl he brought was absolutely adorable.

Well, she turned out to be a bit on the wild side and started putting out the vibe that she wanted attention. (She winked at me several times, pinched my ass once and spanked it twice.) As badly as I wanted to be bad with her, I ignored it out of respect for Alex.

Well, there's one guy out of the group who tries to flirt with every girl. (You all know him, the skinny, ugly guy who thinks he can pull of the "I'm an ass to women and they love me" attitude) He is hounding her all night with flirty-pressure. She didn't really seem to respond to it, but everyone was pissed off that he was c0ckblocking Alex. Yes, after a couple hours of putting up with him, he convinced her to swap numbers while Alex wasn't around.

We had all made comments throughout the evening telling him to back off and this is what he does? It might even be a different story if he was a decent guy, but he's a piece of ***** to girls. What a self serving backstabbing work of art...I'm gonna rip those skinny arms right out of his sockets and stick them down his throat....

Sounds like your friend Alex should be doing teh ass beating. You should mention to the guy what a low life he is and leave it at that. If your friend Alex does fight him, there is nothing wrong with going along for moral support.

I don't think this is about jealously from what it sounds like. This is about dicking over the nice guy. The nice guy who always finishes last and being happy that he can finally have a good thing happen to him.

Hopefully the girl doesn't screw him over for the wanna-be bad ass. Toss him the bastard down the stairs.

If your shy little weakling friend manages to score a date with a girl who's as hot-to-trot as you make her sound, and he's still blowing it, let it be and let him get the lesson he deserves when she dumps him for the jerk. If he can't stand up for himself, and either be more interesting and attractive than the competition, or find a girl who gives him more respect, that's his problem. The girl is going to hang with whoever she wants regardless of who gets their asses beat.

If she's going to dump your nice guy friend, it's better she do it sooner than later. So... beating up the jerk guy wouldn't really serve a point. Of course... there's nothing wrong with doing it for fun.

It's how I learned.

But Al's no weakling, (he fattened my lip with good reason one night) but he's to gentle natured to understand a whooping is in order. She was over at his place all day yesterday, so I think the wannabe is out of luck. Now I'm more worried about her being a slut and playing him.

A couple points:
1. I meant emotionally weak, not physically. Fighting is not a good option here, if he really has any interest in the girl. The vast majority of girls don't like to hang with guys who lose themselves and get violent. And the girls who DO like that should be avoided, 'cause they are the true users who care nothing about the guy their with. The point is your friend needs to be stronger and not let himself get caught in a position of weakness, wanting.

2. Good to hear he's having success.

3. Sluts don't play ya'. Sluts get played. Its sorta what makes them sluts, actually. But that's just the way of things. And if she is the type who will "play" him, that's life. It sounds like they haven't been together very long, so he shouldn't take things too seriously yet. Tell him to be cool and keep his eyes open. Falling for someone too quickly and blindly is a sure recipe for eventual heartbreak. Trust me, I know that like the back of my hand.

I really wouldn't promote an a** kicking in this situation, but maybe it would be better to tell your friend what happened at the party and let him decide if any action is warranted. That way, he doesn't feel like you are fighting his battles for him, but you know that you have done something to help him, and everyone gets to stay buds.

I know it's an old thread, but I have an update on the situation. Apparently the wannabe has been seeing her for three weeks now and has been a total dick about it to the "nice guy." He puts up pathetic away messages like "Gone shopping with MY girl" and "Sleeping with my baby. )

The dude's a dick. I hope she gives him crabs.
