where do you buy it? it's getting close to v-day, so i wanted to get a cute little silky something. i usually go with Victoria's Secret, but figured i'd look elsewhere this year. i want something decently priced... seems silly to blow 80 bucks on something that i'll probably wear for about 5 minutes before the festivities begin!

You could get something sexy yet tasteful that can be worn under your outfit, say, when you're out to dinner. Then you'll get more than 5 minutes' use out of it and drive your SO batty in the process.

It's been a long time since I've looked at anything at Frederick's-- I always thought their stuff was cheaply made and way overpriced. Is that not the case any more?

Since it looks like I won't be buying this kind of thing for anyone this year , maybe I should offer a buying service for the shy male got|apexers.

I do a lot of shopping online... at VS for some, but a lot of smaller out of the home type places too. Sometimes VS or Fredricks just don't have what I am looking for. We get a lot from Europe or people here that stock from European suppliers.

VS has some nice stuff, but i wouldn't buy it unless it's on clearance for at least 50% off or so. basically, i think that for the price they charge, their quality is very low. seams are often sewed poorly, lace is put on wrong, lace is low-quality and scratchy, etc. if you're going to spend the big bucks, i think there's probably nicer stuff to be found online.

but i will disagree a bit. i do know that VS bras are made well and last a lot longer than others i have bought.

i think the panties aren't really the greatest quality though... they always seem to unravel in the wash or whatnot.

i agree that the bras are better than the panties. as avlena noted, those tend to come apart pretty quickly. a lot of the lingerie seems to be sewn poorly as well.

but like i said, if you buy it during their sales, it's a pretty good deal.

Fredericks stuff is still cheaply made, after a few washes it is ruined...VS depends on what it is...their bras are great, the underwears depends on which ones you buy...btw Chrissy which other online places do you go to?

If you are in Los Angeles, there is a very good place in Hollywood called Trashy Lingerie. They're located at www.trashy.com . They are a membership-only shop and they custom tailor most of their "pieces". While they are a bit more sometimes, their quality can't be beat. I've been there with Mrs. Kevster several times and she's quite happy with them.

of all the panties i have encountered, victoria's secrets are the hardest to break with your teeth. I do not recommend them to buy for your girlfriend.
