you wanna melt your girl's heart?

sing this song to her, or get it and play it for her. it is such a romantic song....
*sigh*

Artist: Jason Wade
Song: You Belong to Me

See the pyramids around the Nile
Watch the sun rise
From the tropic isle
Just remember darling
All the while
You belong to me
See the market place
In old Algiers
Send me photographs and souvenirs
Just remember
When a dream appears
You belong to me

And I'll be so alone without you
Maybe you'll be lonesome too

Fly the ocean
In a silver plane
See the jungle
When it's wet with rain
Just remember till
You're home again
You belong to me

Oh I'll be so alone without you
Maybe you'll be lonesome too

Fly the ocean
In a silver plane
See the jungle
When it's wet with rain
Just remember till
You're home again
You belong to me

Many artists have performed this song, but it is mostly well known as sung by the Duprees.

Melt her heart?

You should be killing people you like by melting their heart.

You should kill people you don't like by melting their heart.

InfNot's love song of the day is: The Cure: Love Song
Tori Amos has a kick ass cover.
*After a quick limewire tour: she has a cover of both those songs

That's weird. This is the first love song that I played to my girl. I heard it in the movie Shrek and thought it was nice. It didn't get anybody's pants unzipped but I'm still with her 2 years later so I guess it worked!

"You Belong To Me" is a classic, and I'm sure it works.

My research, however, proves that "That's All" gets the desired effect, especially when crooned via karaoke. I prefer the Rick Nelson version, myself:

That's All
---
I can only give you love that lasts forever
And a promise to be near each time you call
And the only heart I own
Is for you and you alone
That's all, that's all

I can only give you country walks in springtime
And a hand to hold when leaves begin to fall
And a love whose burning light
Will warm the winter night,
That's all, that's all

There are those I'm sure who have told you
They would give you the world for a toy
All I have are these arms to enfold you
And a love even time can't destroy

If you're wondering what I'm asking in return, dear
You'll be glad to know that my demands are small
Say it's me that you adore
For now and evermore
That's all, that's all

Mary Higgins Clark wrote a murder mystery centered around this song, so when i hear it, it's not romantic, it sounds more like an obsessive murderer stalking his prey. That "Every Breath You Take" song by Sting has always sounded really sweet to me... until you realize it sounds like a stalker.

Not just sounds like a stalker, it was a song explicitly about a stalker!

He's about as arrogant and egomaniacal as they come, but I dig a fair bit of his music. I've got all of The Police's albums on cassette, and his first two solo albums.
