Going to Acapulco for my honeymoon, any suggestions?
So in February I am getting married and we are going to Las Brisas in Acapulco for our honeymoon for 10 nights. We will have a private casita with a private pool. Now, there is one activity that will not be in short supply
......but other than that, anyone have any suggestions for activities in Acapulco? Neither of us have ever been there before. We like to relax, we're not into dance clubs or crowded bars. If there are any "must see" things about Acapulco, let me know!

Snorkeling and Scuba Diving may be a good adventure.

I was there about 5 or six years ago. Stayed at the Princess hotel. You might want to visit it if you get the chance. The flamingos are pretty cool. The golfing is pretty nice as well. You might want to spend most of your time at your hotel. During my week there I had more offers to sell me drugs and hookers than I have in my entire life. I'm sure the concierge at your hotel has lots of cool stuff available.

I had my honeymoon in Acapulco 20 years ago. The one thing I remember about Las Brisas was that the people who stayed there got to use these little pink jeeps to cruise around the town.
We had more than our share of people stopping us on the street asking if we wanted to get high, but you get that in a lot of tourist towns. Carlos n Charlies was the place to go, and from what I understand it's still pretty popular. One helpful site is igougo.com, where people post journals of their experiences in vacation spots. Here's a link to the Acapulco page. If I were going there today on a honeymoon, all I'd want is my sweetie, a place to be alone, a beach, a pool, and an open bar tab. ![]() |

thanks for the thoughts and links. i don't think we'll run short of things to do, I just didn't know if there was some kind of "don't miss this" thing in Acapulco. yeah, our private pool will get good use...
