Gift for my blind grandma?

My grandma is legally blind, though she can see well enough to function on a day-to-day basis. To give you an idea, she can read if the letters super big, about an inch high, in stark contrast. If she sits right next to the TV, she can sorta watch her soap operas. She lives alone, and an exciting day consists of laundry, so I'm trying to come up with some gift ideas for her that will provide a bit of entertainment. She already gets books-on-tape for free from the blind association, so I'm trying to come up with some other creative ideas. Anyone have some they want to share?

TIA!!

Depending on how much you want to spend...my grandmother is legally blind too and she got a machine that is like a tiny video camera hooked up to a stand that hooks up to your TV so that you can read everyday things like books, magazines, mail, etc....

This sort of thing... linky

yep, i was thinking one of those readers... i think they run a few hundred bucks, but then they can read the local newspaper, etc... my gramma loved hers. we donated it to her nursing home when she died.

actually my dad bought her one last year. He got it from a neighbor for a good deal, and she uses it to read her mail. :-) it's a very cool machine!

How about a Cosmo Jump for a few hours. You don't need to read or see much and you can have a hell of a time bouncing around in there. Don't know how limber you granny is, but it's just a thought...
