Do you have any wine rack suggestions?

I'm looking to buy a wine rack. I'm not sure if I should just get something like this to put in the basement and hold the 15-20 bottles or so I want to accumulate and hold....

...or just a smaller 6-8 bottle holder that we can put upstairs and use for decoration.

Any suggestions?

When you say "accumulate and hold" . . . how long are you talking? Put the wine where the environment will be best for it. I would only use a "decorative" rack upstairs for wines you intend to drink in the near-term

Like with any fridge you can adjust it but I keep it in the low 50's.

and make sure the rack enables the bottles to be slightly tipped forward so the cork stays wet.

don't you just have to turn it 1/2 a turn 1-2 times/year to make sure that happens?

look at any good racks and they will have them in that position.

but do go turn them a few times a year, or a week, or daily if you want

dunno why, i got myself into canadian wine

you can do what one of my friend did for his wine
he bought his wine from the shop, and told them to hold it for him
and whenever he needs them he calls ahead and picks them up

and why does the cork have to be wet?

It's okay. They sell it at Trader Joe's (along with Two-Buck Chuck).

My current favorites are Shooting Star Merlot and Swagman's Kiss Cab/Merlot.

As for the racks: I would do exactly what Butch suggests. Just keep the "upstairs" rack away from any heat source.
