Y'ever feel like you're running in place?

My gf and I were talking last night about how we both felt that there wasn't anything interesting going on anymore, how we've both kind of become robots. We still love each other and everything but, it just isn't the same. Not just with our relationship though, with pretty much all of life. Sigh. I just feel like a cartoon charecter running along the same backdrop again and again.

It happens to most of us. Time to mix things up.

Take a class together. Go on a vacation. Call in sick on a Friday afternoon and whisk your gf away from work and don't tell her where you're going (but have a plan). Go to a part of town you've never visited before, try a restaurant and a cuisine you've never tried. Make dinner for her.

I get that "running in place" feeling sometimes when I'm on the treadmill.

Anyway, I think every relationship gets that. You just have to do some things you've never done before, or haven't done in a long time, like Memo suggested.

Maybe you need to spread out and find some individual hobbies.

Sounds like I will be organizing another G|A? paintball outing sometime soon then. Or maybe the official G|A? diving trip, or the official G|A? deep-sea fishing trip.

Actually, I recommend both of you go to Glen Ivy Hot Springs on a weekday. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Actually, that's not a bad place for a G|A? gathering in general... very relaxing, and we can fling real mud at each other too instead of the virtual stuff!

a Mrs. can be a Ms. if she wishes

Ms. also Ms ( P ) Pronunciation Key (mz)
n. pl. Mses., also Mses also Mss. or Mss (mzz)
Used as a courtesy title before the surname or full name of a woman or girl: Ms. Doe; Ms. Jane Doe.
Used in informal titles for a woman to indicate the epitomizing of an attribute or activity: Ms. Fashionable; Ms. Volleyball.

[Blend of Miss, and Mrs..]
Usage Note: Many of us think of Ms. or Ms as a fairly recent invention of the women's movement, but in fact the term was first suggested as a convenience to writers of business letters by such publications as the Bulletin of the American Business Writing Association (1951) and The Simplified Letter, issued by the National Office Management Association (1952). Ms. is now widely used in both professional and social contexts. As a courtesy title Ms. serves exactly the same function that Mr. does for men, and like Mr. it may be used with a last name alone or with a full name. Furthermore, Ms. is correct regardless of a woman's marital status, thus relegating that information to the realm of private life, where many feel it belongs anyway. Some women prefer Miss or Mrs., however, and courtesy requires that their wishes be respected.

Phew...good thing I don't have any courtesy. I was worried I'd have to learn something new!

Nah, I'm just too lazy to say Mrs. Ms is only one syllable, therefore less work.
