are kids not the best invention ever?

i just have so much fun with my two. i just laugh and play with them as much as possible. of course, they are occasionally a PITA but

i'm kinda sad because i'll be gone for 4 out of the next 6 weeks or so. they will all be fun trips but i'll really miss the boys.

Kids are the best when they are someone elses, and they can leave after a short visit.

I'm feeling that big guy. School starts back tomorrow night; not looking forward to not seeing them two nights a week. Time goes by so fast, you can't miss any opportunites to spend with them.

Thanks Cheapie-this was a lovely thing to read tonight
But we all know you only want to hang out with your kids because they're cute..if they were ugly-you'd be off and running on those trips faster than the blink of an eye! (JK!)

I know what your talking about. My nephew is 2 and he's so freakin' cute! After spending winter break with him always around I miss him so much. He's growing too fast.

Nothing takes a completely-ruined-and-thrown-to-hell day of mine and makes it the greatest day ever than coming home from work and hearing my 1 y/o daughter say "Hi dada!" and give me a hug.

She's started this thing that is the absolute cutest thing that almost makes me cry every time she does it...when I'm holding her, helping her relax and go to sleep, she'll put her arms around me and pat my arms/shoulder/back like she's comforting me...it's so cute.

Kids are definitely the greatest thing in the world.

Yep, I've been trying to have as much fun as possible with my two kids for the past month or so...since I'll be Iraq for the next 4 months. That's by far the hardest part of being in the military and deploying: my job gets easier (read: less nonsense/paperwork) and my family's job gets harder when I'm deployed.

In fact this will probably be my last post for awhile, since I leave in less than a day and I don't want to disrupt my 1+ post/day average too much

See you in the funny papers!
