Honeymoon ideas?

I'd prefer Europe, but the fiancee is concerned about $$. Any ideas for more affordable but equally romantic vacations for late Feb/Early March?

Thanks!

I guess the biggest thing that would be good to know is how much your budget is for the whole trip. Also, have you given any thought to places other than Europe? Europe can be done fairly inexpensively, but given your location, I bet flights to the Caribbean or Mexican Riviera would be less expensive.

if your into the beach, you might get a good deal on a trip too Aruba. if the price wasent an issue, Austrailia would be my first choice, + they like americans.

If you wanna save cash, do what my folks did years ago, go camping! Just you and her out in he middle of nowhere (hopefully), enjoying wilderness, nature, and what comes natural . Plus, March will be perfect season for it, when its still nice and nippy out and cuddling up in a sleeping bag seems like the perfect way to endure it.

My folks travelled through the White and Green Mountains in New England, though I'd probably recommend the Sierra Nevada, where you can really get away from it all.

My daughter & husband(then fiancee) flew to Sandals Resort in Montego Bay. Got married there, had a wedding dinner ,photos ,hair and makeup done
the whole shebang for $5000.00. That was in 2002. If you only want the honeymoon part I am sure it would be significantly lower. Oh BTW, they were there for 8 days.

The truth of the matter is that it all depends on what you like to do AND what you want to spend. No one can tell you what is right for you to go. I have had friends go to Hawaii, Cruises, Colorado (skiing) and the Greek isles.

My wife and I had originally planned to go to Tahiti for our honeymoon, which unfortunately still hasnt happened as the result of my tyranical boss at the time and (subsequently) the cost. (IF you choose to postpone your honeymoon, dont use the money to pay off wedding expenses as it becomes exceedingly hard to find the money and time to go. I know for a fact we will go, hopefully before we hit the 3 yr mark -- the 2 yr mark is already basically here)

So determine what you both want, figure out your budget and then people will be more able to help you.

Personally, I don't want to hear a thing about what my parents did on their honeymoon. I know it happened, I just don't want the visual of what happened, how it happened, or any other details.

AFAIK we are going to London for a couple days then taking the chunnel over to Paris, staying there the rest of the time. Perhaps take a trip to Stuttgart to visit a few friends I haven't seen in a decade. I say AFAIK because my wife changes the plan every week according to what she just saw on the travel channel.

Whatever you do, make it what is enjoyable to you. My wife started out with just the beach in the Carib, then went to a cruise, now wants to go to Europe. Why the changes? She doesn't want to sit around and do nothing but small excursions. She doesn't want to just sit on a ship and get wasted (especially after what happened in the past month). Now, she thinks it would be very fun to travel Europe.

Gotta love indecisiveness.

well i guess it all depends on where you are located. Flights from the east coast to europe is alot cheaper than from the west. So if you are in LA, you might consider something south. Maybe the florida Keys? that was pretty fun the last time i was out there. Im sure you can find a place to rent out on a small island, rent a jet ski or moped.
