How do you wash your work clothes?

So those of you who go to work in suits, I got a question for you.

I've been in a suit a lot these last two weeks for interviews and other things. How do you wash these things? Do you dry clean everything all the time? How about the dress shirt? Do you just wash it at home?

hang your suit to air it out. that really helps. and make sure its hung right so no creases are made. I take my suit to the cleaners once or twice a month depending on how dity it gets.

Most good suits are dry clean only...

You just have to have a couple of them on hand for when some are at the cleaners.

I dryclean my suits or have used Dryel before. My shirts I just throw in the wash. They aren't expensive so I don't care that much.

Feh, I always buy Brooks Brothers no-iron dress shirts. As long as you take them out of the dryer asap and hang them up and avoid folds when packing, they always look perfect.

I take my suit to the cleaners every 2 events, luckily I don't wear it much.

Take them to the cleaners or wash at home. Use a warm iron...

Also use a nice wooden hanger, no plastic or even worse wire hangers.

Use a cedar hanger to repell moths (assuming you have a wool suit).

Cleaning work clothes is different than reglar clothes. The lowest level is the lint brush. If a suit is not really dirty, just hang it up to air out and lint brush it before wearing it. If it's all sweaty you want to have it cleaned though.

Once a suit, has been worn a few times, has gotten dirty or sweaty you need to have it dry cleaned.

Shirts, I used to launder and iron them myself, but it's really more cost effective to have them laundered. The time it takes is not worth the $3 to have it done.
Wrinkle free shirts you can do yourself since they don't usualy have to be ironed. They cost more but they pay for themselves in the long run by saving on your laundry costs.

Mothballs are great for storing clothes, but for clothes that you are going to be wearing, use cedar.

I'm using it on people that honk their horns in the complex right now, that's a much greater irritant.

i only use my suit at funerals and weddings so i never clean it - the dead can't smell anything any more and at weddings every one is to drunk to care what it smells like.
