fondue set

hi. i want to purchase a fondue set, but i'm probably only going to use it once, so i dont want to invest that much money into it.

i saw this one:
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/prod...1&SKU=13659788

its a simple ceramic bowl thats heated by a tealight. its cheap, but if "u get what u pay for" comes into effect, i'd rather spend a little more money.

its just going to be used once, for dipping fruit in chocolate. would this be good enough? or are there any other sets you guys/girls can recommend? thank you.

Here are two inexpensive options from Crate & Barrel. Dessert Fondue Set $22.90 Dessert Fondue $12.95

Both seem like they'd handle the chocolate function easily. I've used the "sterno-powered" fondue sets from C&B and found them to be swell.

Have fun with your fondue!

One of my friends purchased a small crock pot to use for fondue-it works great.

i agree. we have a sterno fondue set, and a small crock pot and the crock pot works much better.
