what do do with a wedding dress?

So I still have my wedding dress, and I don't know what to do with it. I don't plan on keeping it, because I'm realistic enough to know that if I have a daughter, she probably won't be interested in wearing such an out-dated style. I'd like to give it to some sort of charity, so that a bride with a tighter budget still has a chance at wearing the dress of her dreams, but I've been cautioned that if I give it to a place like Goodwill, it may get bought by someone who'll resell it for a profit. Does anyone have ideas on what to do with it? I definitely don't want to clean it and stick it in a box in the back of my closet!

TIA!

I vote for the "Store and Save" for your daughter, or maybe even granddaughter. Yes, the style may be outdated but she may also think it adds a special touch.

If you have the closet space, I say keep it.

goodwill - they can sell it for $100, adn it's zero effort on your part.

saving it costs tons o money ($250), and my mom saved hers, and it still went to crap and was unwearable 20 years later.

ebay... i sold my $100 (there's always a gown on sale ) wedding dress for about $60.

I always wonder about that, cuz when i was looking for a dress, I would see tons of listings w/o a single bid.

I think you'll be sorry someday if you don't save it..just remember, while it may be a wedding dress now, It can be taken apart and turned into some pretty special heirlooms..christening gowns for babies, first communion gowns for little girls, daughters who will want a piece of something "old" sewn into their own wedding dress, ring pillows for daughter in law's to have on their wedding..etc..
You might be pleasantly surprised later on to know that you saved it. Clean it-and stick it in a cedar chest..(which I believe is something that every woman should have!)

My mom made a baby pillow from material from her wedding dress. Softest **** ever, I still sleep with it!

Wear it with sluty lingerie for your husband some night. It would be a nice way to spice up part of your life.

Now if you are divorced, donate it.

Save it.
Offer it to a friend that might fit in it when they are going to get married (don't get offended if they turn you down).

Burn it because of the unholy union it created.
