I've had a wart on my foot before. No big deal. Just had it frozen off and went about my merry way.

I had one back when I was in like 8th or 9th grade. Never had one since, though.

I was really amazed at how painless it was getting them frozen off.

That's nasty. I've got one on my foot and one on my thumb...but they've both worn down and just look and feel like caluses now.

I'm sitting here now and can't even find the one on my thumb....

Had them on my hands and feet. I thought they went away, but I was told by my DR that I probably caught the virus again at the gym. Had to have them frozen off again on my one foot. I hate it this time because it is on the ball of my foot. I barely want to step in my home shower anymore without flip flops. Also I heard from my Dr to put duct tape on them. I thought it was a wife's tale, but they have done studies which shows the duct tape irritates them to the point your immune system attacks them to kill them off.

It works but it is hard to do since ever time you wash your hands or take a shower the duct tape gets all wet and starts to fall off (and it takes awhile). My dematologist recommended that treatment with a prescription cream but the problem is walkign around with duct tape on a couple of fingers for awhile is not fun.

The freezing treatments that I had hurt way to much and didn't do anything(straight liquid nitrogen on a spot for more then 10secs 3x hurts like a bitch and was ineffective after 6months.

My personal recommendation for anybody with warts is to go see a dermatologist and have them taken care of right away, they can be a pain if you don’t get treatment and they spread.

I can't see the pic, but a plantar wart can hurt like hell. I had one when I was about 19. It felt like I was walking on a rock in my shoe. The problem with treating them is that a big callous usually develops over the wart itself. So you have to shave that down before cryotherapy or chemotherapy. I had mine "burned" off with electrocautery. A few shots of lidocaine hurt, but then I didn't feel anything when he started burning the spot. I just saw smoke coming from my foot and smelled burning Houdini. Afterward, I was left with a hole in my foot about the size of a penny and about the depth of 2-3 pennies. Very litttle pain in recovery, and it healed very quickly. I haven't had one since.

So I say, go to a dermatologist or someone who has done one before and have it burned off!
