5am and I still haven't slept

I have been awake all night long with a puking little boy. My son is sick he puke 5 times in one hour, then a half hour later puked again 2 times and started to dry heave, waited about 30 min and Breastfed him again and he went to sleep, I stayed up to keep up with all the laundry as we are almost out of towels, blankets, and sheets. SO I no sooner lay down and almost drift off and hear him puke again, so I get up turn on the light and clean him up and get things layed out again turn the light off and he nurses for a bit then pukes on me again, so I clean him up (adding to the growing pile of laundry) lay him down and hear sirens, the older lady across the street is gettin taken to the hospital so the house if light up like a chirstmas tree. I am tired and in need of sleep but I don't see me getting any until tonight. I might as well stay up at this point as I have to call the ped in less than 3 hours to get him in to be seen.

I think he has an ear infection on top of this puking bug he's got. I feel helpless and useless, and powerless as I can't make him feel better.

Sorry just needed to talk to someone and my dear husband is sound asleep while I wade on through the night alone with my sick child.

Off to put more laundry in the washer.

awww..I'm sorry that your little man is sick. I'm sorry that BIG JON is sleeping (grrrr)..I always hated to see my kids get sick but I was glad that I was able to be there for them when they needed to cuddle or just have their back rubbed..nothing makes you feel better than the reassurring touch of a Mom when your'e sick. Try and get some rest if you can. I hope everyone feels better when daylight hits.

well he is at least keeping the other child in bed with him so that I can focus on my boy with out having to deal with my daughter. So that is one plus, but I get lonely when I am up by myself.

no still up I took a 1 hour nap and now am waiting for bed time. I think we are going to bundle up cammie and take him on a walk for some fresh air and to get me and Gabby out of this germy infestation. I am finally almost caught up on the laundry that we went through all last night, mind you this is 15 loads later.

Cammie hasn't not puked since 11 am, and has been playing very happily for the last several hours with no fever, so I think we beat it, fingers crossed.

BigJon has to sleep or else he can't go to work and pay the bills.

It was a mutual agreement.

well... at least your laundry fit in the washing machine. unlike when my dog puked on my queen sized comforter. yep, trip to the Big Boy machine at the laundromat for me with that.

hope everyone feels better at your house Mommypooh, and you catch up on your sleep.

I can get King size in my washer, I am very thankful for that.

Big Jon allowed me to take a shower and get all the puke and germs off of me and to pamper myself, he did a great job with the kids and I was in the bathroom for close to an hour, which has very much revived me. He is so sweet.

haven't had a night like that in awhile... so sorry; hope the lil man (and his mommy) are feeling better soon!!!

if it makes you feel any better, the last night i had like that involved one kid puking on the next kid's bed (and head) and the next kid coming in to see what all the noise was about and doing some sympathy puking all over the tardguard sleeping bags on the floor, which got the first kid puking again, which got the second kid crying hard enough that he puked... round robined like that all night. 7 loads of laundry that day

That sounds like quite and eventful evening. I love the sympathy puke...proves it really can get worse.

Sounds like my first one-night-stand. I've stuck with women without children, and long-term relationships, ever since.

Well I think we are finally done with the puking (famous last words right)

We seem to be all better and I am finally cought up with the puke laundry, now I have to takle the regualr laundry.

But now Gabby is sick with a UTI and a Yeast infection, because I just was a bad mommy and forgot to change her clothes for 2 days while I was sick.

Yeah...it's been a yucky, sicky week. I even caught the pukey fever thing from the kids...although luckily I didn't puke.

I can't wait until everything is cleared out of our systems and we can go back to normal.
