well what you don't know won't hurt you, but if you do know, it will hurt for awhile but you will get over it.
so not knowing is worse, to me at least.

If you suspect the truth, thats worse. Cause then not only do you suffer with the possible truth, but you suffer with denial or wondering why something could be. Once you know the truth, you can get towards accepting it and eventually moving on. So i'd say its best to know the truth as soon as possible unless you are happy not knowing forever... but i would imagine it requires a bit more specific example.

Yes, it all depends on the situation. I was referring to things in general.

In a lot of case I'd say "ignorance is bliss".

Knowing the truth is generally the best... however many folks don't want to face the truth.

[jack]YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH![/jack]

not knowing usually is worse, since you will never know and that nagging thought will always be in your mind, and it will gnaw at you til the day you die.

when you know the truth, and you get hurt cuz of it, you usually get over the pain later on.

Knowing the truth is worse in my opinion. Just as long as you never suspect or find out the truth later on.

if you have a vivid imagination, then it gets worse, b/c then you start playing all sorts of scenarios in your head; ie the "what if" game.

so personally, i'd rather know the truth about things now, and move on.

Depends on what the truth is and the person. For me, it's not about the truths, it's about the lies you've learned to live with.

Knowing the truth is much better in my opinion. It may be more difficult and not be fun to deal with, but at least you arent pretending in certain situations.

dealing with the truth now is much better than dealing with it later... and it's very very rare that you'll never have to deal with it, so you might as well do it now.

Not knowing is the best, until of course, you find out.

In today's world it depends on who defines what the truth is....Everyone claims to know the truth about a subject, when in fact they only know what they believe to be truth.
