That's alot of money, even for a hired gun. But The Rocket is a beast. Even at his age he can still get it done.

    'Stros. Best of luck...

I'm glad he's coming back, but that salary is ridiculous. I know it's prorated, but it has now raised the bar even higher for paying the best players. In addition to steroids, exorbitant payrolls are responsible for demise of Baseball.

Ehh, it's not all that doom and gloom. Demise of baseball?

The salary is out of whack. Hard to fault the athlete, though, when you have some nutball owner who is willing to shell out the $$$. And the fans aren't much better; I'd be willing to bet that games where he starts will probably be sold out. Big money players beget big money all around (ticket sales, apparel, fans, etc.).

This isn't even a story. Everyone expected him to come back from the beginning of the season and it was most likely that he would end up back on the Astros.

The salary is a bit ridiculous but that is getting to be the norm.

Now lets see if the Astros get hot at the end of the year like every other year in recent past.

I'm kind of hoping the cards pull out some magical deal like this to improve their offense.

hahaha Last night the Rocket punched 11 Ks!!! Sure it was the Minior Leagues, but still. He looked good. He K'd 9 of the first 12 batters he faced.... But the best part of it the kicker for the fans at the game was that anytime their teams pitcher gets 10 K's they all get Free Tacos.... wow how is that for a night out at Minior League Baseball? Gotta see a Hall of Fame Pitcher, 11 K's, and to top it all off, FREE TACOS....sweet

Yeah....that's too bad. But the seasons is only about half over and he has around 20 some odd more starts which is good. Go 'Stros!
