Actually, the benefits are more than that.  The best thing (in my view)
about this card is saving 10% on gas.  The membership more than pays for
itself right there.  They actually have a grip of other perks though. 
If your car is damaged and the cost of the repair exceeds your insurance
deductable, they`ll pay the entire deductable up to $500.  Man, a light
kiss by an SUV will more than put you over your deductable amount.  CARCLUB
