Asus MB and DURON Probs..Help!!

Hi Folks..Just Recently bought an ASUS MB and a Duron 700 CPU... Upon installing the MB I noticed that the powersupply would fire up immidately upon hittin the power strip (not when hitting the Power button)... Basically I can't get the thing to shut off..
Needless to say I cannot get a clean Boot (most often no reaction from system at all (aka.NO Video output)... Anyone have any clue whatI have going on here... Maybe a Flakey Asus (hmm..I guess it does happen eh?) .. And how long does it take for a Duron to Fry itself when not running with a fan/heatsink?? It get super hot!!

I did try two different power supplies thinking one of them were flakey but get same reults...

Maybe you have the wires "reset" "power LED" "power SW" etc... maybe you have those flip-flopped or mismatched. Double check them.
