You know...Diablo 2 was way overhyped. I found it fun, but not immersive as I wanted it. In the end, all it boils down to is mearly a hunt for better weapons and gems, which becomes very tiresome.

My choice for best game changes from week to week as there are so many good games coming out. My favorite game is NFL2k1 on Dreamcast. For PC, I really don't know. I think Deus Ex must be the best game ever made...if they had multiplayer capabilities.

I have to agree with X-COM... That game was a sleeper.. barely no advertisement and then BAM!! Everyone was playing the game.
Another game I would add is: Civilization 1 and 2.... who admits that once they started to play and couldn't leave the game.

Ah yes, spent many an early morning on that game as a student, only to notice the rising sun and the clock reading 6:30 AM.
Common sense is what tells you the Earth is flat.

I would definately have to say CounterStrike. BUT!!! if anyone has heard of HALO (which I'm sure you have, if not, check out http://www.bungie.com and you'll see what I mean). That game is going to take the cake of all cakes.

    Halo?

Let's see... the only thing we know about the game is that it has good graphics. What kind of game is it? No one's really sure but that's ok... they got good graphics.

    GP3

Grand Prix 3 is a really good F1 racing game. If you like F1, then you should check this game out.

Halo is a squad-oriented action game with a focus on outdoor combat and vehicles. Playing as either humans, Covenant, or possibly additional races, players form teams and work together to achieve victory.

What perspective will Halo use? Halo's perspective has been a hot issue ever since it was announced. It was originally described as a third-person game, except "done right". Diehard FPS fans objected at length to this concept, despite Bungie's reassurances that they had solved the various problems inherent in all third-person games to date. The conflict spilled over onto the forum here, eventually leading to the creation of the Oath, an agreement to never argue over the game's perspective again. As new people arrived with new and equally inflammatory views on this issue, the Oath evolved into the Pink Box that appears on the forum to this day.

Recently, Bungie has begun to hint that they are considering, or more than considering, a first-person mode in Halo. Certainly there will be some "player's eye view" features no matter what, such as the sniper rifle, but the exact use of the first- and third-person perspectives in Halo remains to be seen.
