Just wondering, how many of you went or plan to go to a racing track?

Used to. EVOC, Willow Springs, Button Willow. Mostly local ones. There's Sears Point, and Thunderhill, but man, those ones are far.
Wanna go to Rosamond on Nov 11th?I want to test out my new GS430 after the ECU/intake and TC upgrade.
Sheesh, nice.
Where's Rosamond?
I think I misread it. It should be Willow Spring. A couple friends of mine plan to go, M3 and 328.
I've not really tested my new car except once raced with a M3 on my way back to UCLA at night.

What was the outcome of the race. Win-Lose-Draw?

thinking about landing a jpb at rod millen's after graduation...we'll see if they want a Mech Engineer from cal berkeley.
Constipated people don't give a crap.
It's actually more like a practice ground. Instead of racing on the freeway, they provide a safer place for you to learn how to race appropreiately. There will be an instructor sitting next to you if your level isn't high enough. Once I rode with my friend's M3 and dang, the instructor brought M3 to a new level that I've never known before. You have to follow some regulation and etc. It's bit far from L.A. If you're going, be sure to bring enough water.Originally posted by gotmilk

What was the outcome of the race. Win-Lose-Draw?Last time I used my stock 97 Lexus ES300 on the track and the performance wasn't too good, obviously. Too many body roll and the acceleration was bad though I used appropreiate launching method. Anyway.

I decided to go with TEIN HA coilover so I can adjust the heights and damp but I haven't upgraded yet due to the TC upgrade and ECU/intake. I still have to pay for the tuition. DOH!
So you wanna work at RMM, the one at Huntington Beach? Cool! I hope you can get it so next time I can have some special discount when I get the body parts from yah. Actually most likely I'll upgrade to Brembo breaks on my next upgrade, put coilover and body parts on hold for a while.
You're doing the streets or international?
I unfortunately can only look at these cars from the pages of magazines...*sigh*

Ah sweet. You ever been there? You know you can hit about 130mph on the straight on international (streets are only good for about 110mph or so).

where's willow springs at? and are these open for public tracks? what are the regulations/rules to run your car on the track? thanks
Yes, this track is open for public.
The following are some basic rules:
No reckless driving on the track and in the pit lanes.
Over-taking is done only in the straight-aways.
When letting a pass, DO NOT hit the brakes, just let-off the gas.
** PASS ON THE LEFT ONLY - PREFERRED **
No bumping other cars (THIS IS NOT A RACE !).
Pay attention and obey the flag rules.
Should your car spinout, check for on-coming cars before entering.
All cars must only drive MAXIMUM 5 mph in the pit lanes.
Unless authorized, stay behind the crash wall.
By the way, Willow Springs is at Rosamond. Take the 5 north and take 14 north and pass Palmdale, take Rosamond exit and make a left turn, about 3 miles turn right at track entrance.Nov 11th. I think I may have a second midterm coming around that time so I may/may not go. If I do go, look for a Silver GS430.
I'm not going to the race track this time, having a date. For people who are going, have fun!
