    Question

I installed win2k last weekend I have a bit of problem with my installation since win2k have placed all my PCI cards on the same IRQ (#9) and there is no possibility to change this in the device manager. I have Plug&Play OS enabled in my BIOS.
I have a Intel SE440BX-2 MB. The version of my BIOS is a bit old, could a newer version of MB BIOS help my problem?
I have looked at the release notes at Intel and there is no information that the latest BIOS is requierd for a win2k installation.

    Greetings

Turn off ACPI in the bios and under Device Manager under Computer switch from ACPI to standard computer. ACPI=Advanced Configuartion and Power Interface. Fair warning though everything will be redetected again and problems may come up Baxman. Its better to install win2000 fresh after turning off ACPI in the bios. If your not having any problems with your pci cards sharing the same irq then leave it the way it is. Most PCI cards are okay with sharing irq's. SBLive soundcards and some nics prefer having an irq to themselves though.
