I know
We get the same questions so damn often i'm thinking of making an FAQ page for gotapex.
We need a faq for thunderbird Athlons.
happo explained progresssive scan in this thread http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showth...hreadid=12298:
"for example if your resolution is 640 by 480 in interlaced mode (not progressive) the monitor would once go and display every even line (240 lines) and then go through and display every odd line (240 lines) giving you a total of 480 lines. In progressive scan it goes through and displays every line every single time giving you a smoother picture without all the flicker."

i think the radeon can do progressive scan dvd
but can it output a progressive scan picture to a tv?? Seeing as to how all computer monitors are non-interlaced I would think that any DVD displayed on a computer would also be non-interlaced.

Very few TV's support progressive scanning. If you have an older TV, no. It won't work..

Which was my next question, if anyone has any good experience with a progressive scan (720p, not 480p) hdtv.
