    I recently bought a dell inspiron 4000
    p3 600
    128 sdram
    10 gig hd
    14.1 xga screen
    8x dvd rom
    56k modem
    windows me

When I first got it, I reformatted and loaded win2k (on a clean install) I installed my network card and video drivers, but when I got to the audio drivers (from the dell drivers installation disc), it just froze my pc. It didn't want to install and it just locked up. I couldn't ctrl+alt+del or reboot, so i removed the battery and pulled the plug. When I booted up, I got a blue screen with a message that said a file (something ".sys" file, I forgot) And just stays there. I can't do anything but reformat. Mind you, I have gone over his process 3 times already. Twice using Dell's installation disc, and once with the drivers from their website. When I called Dell, they told me to debug the system. They said they were going to email me the script, but never sent it. Does anyone know how I can remedy this problem?? Thanks!
