    Recommendations for hard drive wiping?

    I've been given an option concerning me and my old computers. Either I get rid of the ones I haven't actually used in awhile or I'll .... The other half of the threat wasn't specific, but boss lady was serious this time. What would be the best software to wipe the HD's clean, or other than destroying is there something else that can be done?
