What was your focus in CS?
Know anything about distributed systems?
Java/C++/C#?
Don't mind a little rain now and then?

There really wasn't a focus in the curriculum per se. If anything I'd say data structures and algorithms. Towards the end there was emphasis on multithreading and such. Most courses focused on that.
I took a class on high performance distributed systems. That's the extent of my knowledge on that subject.
I bought Visual Studio 2005 for cheap before I graduated and am currently teaching myself ASP.NET, C# and all that good ****. They don't teach this stuff in college.
C++/Java I'm proficient in.
Rain is all good but I'm really looking to stay in Austin for my first job, but we'll see how rigid I am on that issue the longer I spend without a job![]()
All I know is we have a heck of a time finding good programmers with basic skills dealing with multithreading issues (synchronizations, deadlocks, race conditions, etc.) and that have ANY knowledge of distributed systems.

When I get back to work on Monday I will check if my company is doing any hiring in your locale.
