    N.s.s.

I have an 18 yr old son that graduated from high school this year. He is one of those kids who has found school to be so easy that he was bored through most of it so sometimes didnt get the best marks even though it should of been a piece of cake. Well when trying to decide what to do with his life he had decided to become a teacher since he is fluent in both french and english and knew he would have no problem finding a job. But he wasnt making any effort to apply for any kind of school funding. Well I finally got him to admit he didnt really want to be a teacher but he couldnt think of anything else he liked to do and didnt want to disappoint the rest of the family who was so proud of him for going to university. We talked about the things he likes to do, which besides music, is cook. He loves to cook so when I suggested he go to college instead and take a culinary course he was finally excited about something and now he cant wait to go and maybe become a succesful chef.
Im so proud of that kid that I just had to post a NSS...Thanks for listening to my ramblings ....
I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

That's awesome! I think if more people really thought about "what do I enjoy doing" and followed their heart instead of doing what they think is expected of them, we'd have a lot more happy people walking around.

And good job to you for supporting him instead of pushing him into a direction he doesn't want to go.
