Well I had my 6 month performance appraisal at my current call center job (I guess I can't call it "new" anymore now that this has happened)It went extremely well (I still have a job, despite my worst fears since my sales targets weren't that great).
What REALLY was icing on the cake however, was the fact that a few weeks later, my boss let my entire team know that my quality scores were the highest on our team.... not just for the past month or so, but ever since I started taking calls. This basically means that I'm delivering excellent customer service to my customers (I've had quite a few customer commendations already, which was a surprise to quite a few people, considering my limited experience in a call center environment). I've just been doing what comes naturally to me, and obviously it's working.
Needless to say, I think I've finally found something I'm good at, and have found a career that looks like it will work for me. I can't guarantee I'm going to stay with this particular company, but I do plan on staying in the call center/help desk field. I've actually set some long-term goals for myself relating to this, and overall am confident I can achieve them.
