IRS Telephone Tax Refund for 2007 FREE
The IRS just released standard amounts for your 2006 tax return (to be filed in 2007) for a refund on overpayment of taxes on long distance calls from Feb. 2003 to Aug 2006.
Please use the list below to figure your tax credit.
1 exemption $30
2 exemptions $40
3 exemptions $50
4 or more exemptions $60
Or if you can prove you paid more than the exemption amount, you can claim more.
Who is eligible to request the telephone tax refund?
In general, any individual, business or nonprofit organization that paid long-distance tax for service billed after Feb 28, 2003 and before Aug 1, 2006 is eligible to request the refund.
Nice little tidbit.
(You may want to cross-post over in the financial section too.)
Thanks for the suggestion, I did that.
