    Preordered PS3!

Gamestop and Ebgames are preselling PS3 today, the first day they could do it. 8 units per store allocated.

Went to the first store and saw there was a line and went to another store down the street, but they've already given out all the slots. Went back to the first store and was able to land the premium system.

$100 min down + $5 for each game preordered.

Final price is $499 and 599.

Passed by a game stop (on my way) saw a line, kept going. Oh well. I wish EBgames had announced the pre order sooner. Still, thanks for the heads up.

Ok...I've been reading a few things and there's a personal conflict here.

Let's ASSUME that I get the Premium PS3 on Launch day.

What do I do? Play it or Ebay it? I bought it not because I wanted to ebay it. I really do like games, but I'm more interested in technology (I'm what you call an early adopter).

However, the idea of ebaying it and getting like $2000 for a $600 console is very tempting. Technically I do need the money since I'm a student. But I could really get screwed by scammers so that's a big risk, but it's a thought. Of course, I could just use it for myself like I intended and I think I find ebaying it an ethical dilemma.

What would you guys do and why?

    Sell it on craigslist!

I agree--craigslist for cash, make sure you don't get mugged. I don't see it as being an ethical decision by any means. Three cheers for free markets filled with informed buyers and sellers.

For SURE sell it! If it's anything like the xbox last year, you can take the money & buy an xbox & a wii to hold you over until demand drops, and then in a few months get your PS3.

There's no ethical dilemma in meeting market demand when people are just too impatient to wait for general availability.

Sell. Think of all the dolts who paid 2x the regular price for the 360 on eBay...you can get it on Overstock now for $350.

To me, it would be worth it to wait a few months and pocket the $$$.
