The way it seems to me is that you have to type your number in, then they tell you if you won. They do not tell you the winning number if it is not you.

Since 12/22 (by BigDaddy) the winning name hasn't been shared in this forum. Either by coincidence or design I haven't been able to get the winning name using the "usual" method. When I put my username and password in nothing happens. Did they change something or is it just me? Possibly the reason the name hasn't been shared in this forum is that unless you have won, the name isn't revealed anymore?
The same thing is happening for the new program at KOGO 60-0 and 95.7.
I figured that they really did not intend to give out any prizes until January...same as they said for the trade-in points, raffles, and auctions. So, they decided to not have any names as winners since they will not have prizes till then...anyway that's what I figured.
So what you're saying is NOBODY is winning right now. Well, I'm not sure that's very fair since the Disneyland passes end on Jan 8th and it seems obvious that the high bidder must have earned extra points by being the daily winner since I don't think it has been possible to earn 70,000 points yet(I could be wrong but I've been pretty good about doing my points everyday since they started). I'd like as many chances as possible to be the daily winner and have a chance to compete.
sent an email to the station. they are having issues with the daily prize winner thing-y (a corporate technical problem or something like that). instead of taking it off of freeloaders, they are letting people still get bonus site points if they click on the link. (maybe it should just state this fact on the page???)
p.s. i have never been a daily winner and have over 70,000 points (close to 80,000), so it most definitely is possible to have this many. also, several people may have gotten star on the car points (25,000). i hope that they start doing events soon - hopefully there will be big points awarded for showing up at their events.
p.p.s. looks like they have been busy posting lots of prizes in auctions. happy to say that i think that my time investment will pay off (was worried about this when it started, definitely a lot more hoops to jump through to get your points each day), but i am pleasantly surprised that this program looks like a winner. i hope that the prizes on their other programs will be worth the time investment as well.
Unfortunately, I suspect that this will suffer from the same shortcomings of KGB and Rock105...only those with lots of points or fast connections will be able to get anything worthwhile.
If there are 20 people who collected 80K points and there are only 20 prizes, what happens to those who missed a day and only have 79K points? and if their prizes are mediocre,do you hold them and hold them until some stupid auction in late December?
they 'claim' to be giving away thousands of prizes in 2007 - everything that is currently posted is only for the first 10 days. if they continue at this rate of prizes each week, they will in fact be giving away 'thousands'. can they say that they will do it if they really are not planning to - isn't there some law against that??
the prizes don't look mediocre to me - they're much better than anything else that is out there! the question is - will/can they continue at this rate? also, are they re-doing the kgb and rock programs - because i agree - big shortcomings (those programs really blow).

This discussion proves what we already knew....each person who participates has his/her own idea as to what is valuable. For me, getting only a $25 gift card for what it took to get 70,000 points is not a valuable prize (for me). Last week I won an auction on 105.3 for a Digital Video Camcorder. On 101.5 I have used my points to win a cell phone, and to enter one of their games at super bowl time where we all try to throw a football through a tv to win a big screen tv. On another station I won the Microsoft Office Business Edition that lists for $600. On other stations I have won tickets to the Neil Diamond concert, a Hornblower dinner cruise for 2, etc. Yes, all of the radio station stuff is hard to win, but it sure beats the very difficulat odds on the national sweepstakes.
