I suspect that we have a bigger impact on them then they are willing to admit. Granted, Fox6 boasted over 40000 members in 2003, but even if they have 100,000 most of those are probably not active or not active on a regular basis.
But the biggest issue is really learning not to waste your time on programs that really don't offer you the amount of effort you put into it. Clearchannel has a nasty habit of taking away our points at the end of the year. How many people had over 400K points? That's a lot of effort to get all that, even if soem of those did it by getting words here. And what did they get in return? I'm guessing that most of them got NOTHING.
Again, I suggest putting all your efforts in one last ditch effort through the end of next week. If it doesn't pay off now, when we have so many more points than many people, why should it pay off later when there are more people with higher numbers of points competing for the 50K-point prizes or auctions? (Are you gonna spend 100K points for a Happy Meal? {Probably not, so all those extra points don't do you good when you're bidding on things with lower values.)
