Holy Sleeper, Batman! (my kinda car...)

I'm lovin' this - being a "function over form" type myself...

    http://www.w2wpowertrain.com/t-novabuild-2.aspx

This Nova has been tagged with many names including SS (Super Sleeper), Joe Nova (reference to Joe Dirt movie) and others referring to it’s all go, no show attitude.
See the link for pictures - this thing's WILD...

I love the stealth upgrades to a car! This car will absolutely kill anything on the street and it looks very SS (super sleeper). It would be priceless to see the other driver's expression in your rear view mirror as you pull away!

I'm picturing someone driving this hoopdy pulling up next to the dude in the corvette with a hot chick riding shotgun and revving the engine at the stop light then proceeding to blow him out of water...

Ah...guess I missed that. Makes sense. Thanks!

That must be one helluva torque converter. I like the horn pad swtich. No paddles to see, especially on a car like that, which looks kinda stock with the original shifter in place.

Dude, imagine getting in the car thinking that it's a normal car. Then getting pulled away at top speed. ARGH!!!
    Sweet.

Nice. Back in the day this cat had a nice sleeper nova, but nothing like that one.

I love sleepers. My favorite was a mazda r100 rotary that surprised a lot of muscle car drivers. This was before there were any really fast ricers and people were just starting learn about turboing. It looked like someone brought their rents old bucket to the races until it started pulling away with it's forever reving rotary. Now it's hard to find one in decent condition because so many got picked up by racers.

Me too. I have this dream of some day making a wicked sleeper out of a rusty old postal delivery vehicle, one of the old LLVs (long life vehicles) with a Grumman body on a Ford ranger frame (at least I think that was the configuration...). Plenty of room for a large midship mounted engine. I'd keep the tiny stock tires (what are they, 13, 14"?) and everything. Can you imagine blowing the doors off a corvette or someone's ricer civic in a rusty old mail truck? That'd be sweet as pie.
