Yet another "I HATE eBAY" Topic

So anyway, eBay removed my PS3 listing for "circumvention of ebay fees due to excessive shipping and handeling charges"

I was charging $49.00 for Express Shipping + $4.99 for mandatory insurance...
Which would have ended up costing me closer to $60 actually...

    Oh how I hate ebay.

So why try to make a few bucks on shipping when you're making a KILLING on the actual unit? Do something like: shipping charges are actual cost + mandatory insurance.

$50 for express shipping, without insurance? Where are you shipping to, the moon?

Express shipping on something 16 lbs with $900 insurance is over $60 (from here to California) actual cost at usps... I was charging $54. That means Im LOSING money on shipping.
Ebay just wants a final value fee percentage of my shipping costs too!

It was probably a competitor sabotaging you. Ebay probably doesn't have time to look and just has an itchy trigger finger for anything that gets reported.

Hrm... maybe I'm just used to the business rates from work and kind of shield to what things actually cost.

    SS Update!
So the PS3 sold after listing it again...
    SUPER, JUST GREAT!
Except the email stating that he "can not pay" because "he doesnt have paypal"... ok fine, so i send him a reply, I will accept a money order...
Then in his reply... he "DOESNT FEEL COMFORTABLE SENDING A MONEY ORDER FOR THAT MUCH MONEY"!
Ok... well, thats just fine. How DID he expect to pay?
Well anyway, that all didnt bother me that much, ill just let ebay know, and get my final value fees back, right?... ummm...
I cant file a non-paying bidder dispute yet! Enough time hasnt elapsed yet! Well BY-GOLLY! Ill just sit here and wait another 2 weeks! Maybe he will change his mind and pay! OR, Ill just bend over and take it up the pipe again! Thanks ebay!

I must admit, the PS3 sellers on ebay are earning their dues. Alot of sellers are sabotaging others to make the price go up. It costs the sellers almost nothing. See if you can mutually withdraw the sale. You'll get the refund faster.
