Alternative to Xbox 360 $99 wireless adapter??

After spending on the console, games, extended warranty, xbox live gold subscription, extra controller, I am tired of spending $$ for the 360. What about be the best but a cheap way to connect the 360 wirelessly?

I was thinking of getting a linksys wrt54g router, hacking it and using it as a wireless ethernet bridge or getting the linksys wireless game adapter. If not running a long ethernet cable from router to the 360.

Logitech has a wireless "game" adaptor too. Runs $25 ish.
