I ordered my 4 replacement straps about 1.5 months ago and they sent me 8 of them. Haven't broken one of the original ones yet, and don't ever intend to flail my arms that much to actually break it.

I'm sorry...but I still think that if you swing your arm into a table or a lamp while playing the game then it's your fault...not Nintendo's. Also..for those folks that "chuck" their Wiimotes into objects such as windows, doors, and TVs...come on.

I have a Wii and don't EVER feel the need to thrust that hard with the Wiimote. It's even built a certain way that you wrap your finger around the B button without pushing it and you can hold onto it better.

    *dramatically rolls his eyes*

Strap replacements were free after Nintendo worried about lawsuits from stupid people.

people that throw the remote into the tv most likely were drunk, i recommend everyone get the skins for the remote, it makes it less slick due to the rubber, but thats me, i will try and get some more of those straps just in case...thanks guys!

I have Wii Condoms for all my Remotes. But not for the chucks yet and maybe never.

My opinion still remains that people cut or intentionally separated their Wii straps after they didn't put it on, and then needed an "Excuse"

those wii skins are great for the remotes - it keeps it intact upon impact.

ive seen a wiimote slip out of a player's hand and smash against the wall.

and i mean SMASHED into pieces.

well, the pieces still fit together, not that it broke all the parts. but just the same, the skins will keep it from being all over the place if it ever gets that way.

plus its less slippery on the hands.

next thing you know, you'll have designer wii remote skins (leather, pleather, cloth, vinyl...)
there are pictures, but no,nothing happens on my site.

this is why im gonna hook up my Wii to a cheapass projector, and projecting it to a WALL.

(plaster and paint is cheaper, and easier to fix).

I would assume it's so they can make sure you actually have a Wii.
