    Like tea?

I first had this at a great hotel in Quebec City. I cant remember the name of the place, but it was in the south east section of the city.

I usually drink the Green Tea Tropical. I buy my GF the loose silver needle, a white tea.

They sort teas by most caffeine. This is my kind of tea company.

I've been drinking some loose-leaf stuff lately, y'know the kind you stuff into a tea ball. Harney & Sons Mutan White, comes in a little tin sold at a store down the street. Also some Earl Grey and something called Chinese Restaurant Tea, bulk packaged from a little shop in Buffalo. I enjoy it a lot, it is very good and makes me feel like quite a tea snob.

If anyone could recommend a sampler pack of different varieties (like different types of real tea, nothing flavored or fruity, etc), I'd really be interested in that!

The Chinese Restaurant Tea is most likely some sort of Oolong.

The best tea I've ever had comes from www.taoftea.com

Well whatever it is, it tastes much like what I've had at good Chinese restaurants. I likes.

Occasionally (like now) i cut open the tea bag and just dump it in the cup. No need for that tea ball.

Not me (right now). The stuff I'm drinking now is served cold and comes in a bottle that the cap must be popped off of and then it is best poured into a mug or stein.

Though, maybe I will make myself a Hot Toddy...

I knew you'd be jealous. But no.

Hot Tea Toddy (according to The Ultimate Book of Cocktails):

    • 1 1/2 meas. light rum
    • 1/2 tsp clear honey
    • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    • slice of lemon
    • 1 cup hot black tea
    • 1 piece crystallized ginger

Add all but the last ingredient to a pan and gently warm until just about to boil. Pour out into a mug and add the ginger.

Though personally, I prefer to make the tea first and just dump everything else in afterwards. Simpler recipe to follow, and less of the precious alcohol evaporates.

I used to be addicted to Earl Grey. Then one time I got this very very very bitter tea bag and haven't purchased any since. (Yes, it was imported). Most recently I had some white tea but it had pomegranite or something added. Wasn't bad but definately very "showy" stuff. I guess I'll stick to green decaf for a while.

Tea Bags are inferior almost all of the time. I usually brew my tea with an IngenuiTEA from www.adagio.com or a gong-fu set from The Tao of Tea.

I do like www.revolutiontea.com for bagged stuff though, I just try to avoid bagged tea most of them time.

When I'm having Yerba Mate, I like using my gourds and bombillas.

Thanks for the link fix Napoleon.

Oh! I have some of their Bombay Chai in a bag, though it's a funky kinda bag, like some sort of polymer mesh. It is decent stuff if prepared in the right way (I add some extra nutmeg, dash of allspice and cinnamon, and use milk... kinda hard to make chai with straight water IMO!)

It's past midnight where I'm at.

That might explain why I swore it read semen.

Is Bromley the one that uses a round bag?

Even though I have been trying some fancy loose leaf stuff lately, I usually drink something cheap- either Salada or Red Rose. I don't like Lipton at all. Red Rose usually gets the nod 'cause of the little ceramic figure in the package. It reminds me of pulling some little trinket out of the cereal or Cracker Jacks box as a kid. My grandmother has dozens of those little things on the window sill in her kitchen.

Mmm, I love good freshbrewed iced tea. Unsweatened tea is my default beverage when eating at a restaurant (if I don't have something alcoholic, that is).

When I make it at home I've been adding lemon juice and also a hint of lime juice. I think the lime gives it a fuller, well-rounded flavor.

Ahhhh . . . I love me some Yerba Mate. In Germany, it is very niche . . . can only find it in small quantities at a high price, so I've pretty much stopped drinking it. I do, however, have a bombilla here.

I have the IngenuiTEA as well, and love it. I like getting the sampler sizes from Adagio, and just trying out different teas that way.
    Have a groovy day!
