    Cooking Mama (DS and Wii)

Ok so I bought this game for DS. Super sweet game, a lot more addicting than you'd think. You just follow directions and cook various foods and earn medals. Super fun on the DS.

Cooking Mama Cook off came out on the Wii. I picked it up for my fiance. SHe is already really good at it. Mindless fun. I am not so good at it currently as I have troubles moving my Wii remote the exact way they want it LOL. oh well check this game out on either system. a great game for kids....

the only odd thing is on the Wii version they gave Mama a voice. I suppose she is suppose to sound Japanese (accent and all) but to me she sounds more Korean.

Tofu, thanks for the info on this game. I've actually been considering getting this game. Could you give a bit more detail on it? Is it entirely just a bunch of mini (cooking) games? does it have multiplayer ability? Is this worth buying or renting? TIA!

Edit: I was referring to the Wii version

When I play more I'll give a better review. I would suggest renting it first if you are not familair with the DS version. Yes it is a bunch of mini games, it is a lot harder than it sounds, and two players head on. You both try to finish a recipe (stages) first and with the least amount of mistakes. I like it but others might not. I can't wait for the Joy of Painting game to come out with Bob Ross (I heard one was planned for DS, perhaps the Wii too now )

Just on an initial notion, it seems like 2+ player gameplay would have a limited fun rating of 1-2 nights. Do you think this is true? If not, maybe it's best to rent this game (if you're primarily interested in multiplayer)?

Is Cooking Mama Cook Off better for 1 player or multiplayer... and is there replay value?

Careful when you instert your games. My friend accidently plugged in his Cooking Mama game while his Nintendogs was still running and the game turned into Iron Chef Korea.

It's a true story. But I think we should let the thread get back on topic.

is this game similar to trauma center? my friend and his classmates play trauma center all the time and never grow tired of it. i'll recommend this game to him as well.
