    Email from Bandwidth Nazies:

OSU Network Engineering has identified your computer as using "excessive network bandwidth" through the University's connection to the Internet. Below is a list of dates which you appeared as one of the Top 20 Bandwidth users for RCN. This list shows the amount of data which you transferred, in megabytes, within a 24-hour period on the specified date.

    Inbound traffic (Downloading):
    913Mb - 11/17/00
    886Mb - 12/7/00
    1210Mb - 12/8/00
    1577Mb - 12/9/00
    1432Mb - 12/10/00

    Outbound traffic (Uploading/Serving):
    781Mb - 12/3/00
    868Mb - 12/6/00
    1139Mb - 12/7/00
    1478Mb - 12/8/00
    1493Mb - 12/9/00
    2300Mb - 12/10/00

Your above offenses are in violation of OSU's Acceptable Use Policy and the RCN Use Policy. Please limit your bandwidth use. If you are running an ftp server or file sharing program (ex: iMesh, Napster, Scout, CuteMX, Gnutella, etc.) on your computer please turn it off. If your bandwidth use does not decrease you may lose your RCN connection and be referred to the Student Conduct and Mediation office.

Acceptable use policies can be found at: http://rcn.orst.edu/policies.asp

What to do? Not sure, but as soon as I find a way, I'll put the server back up.
