    2 questions about Macs

My new office uses macs and so I'm just getting used to them now. I've got two questions:

    1. My biggest annoyance is how the mouse cursor automatically moves at higher resolution (decelerates) When I move the mouse slowly. Can somebody tell me how to disable this? I couldn't find anything for it in the "mouse and keyboard" menu under system preferences.

    2. Is there a way to change the display settings so that text is shown on screen as sharp lines (like windows) and not as soft, "graphicy" text?

    thanks

As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals.

Hmm. The mouse tip sounds promising. The text tip I'm not so sure about. It looks like a fix for some "error" whereas I'm just looking for another standard setting (if there is one). But I'll definitely look into it.

Thanks man. I should have googled first myself. *boink*

    1. Try changing mouse tracking under System Preferences -> Keyboard & Mouse

    2. System Preferences -> Appearance, font smoothing is at the bottom
