    Ecotec Motors

Anyone know anything about these motors? Supposedly they were installed in Cobalts. And gobs of horsepower can be gotten out of them.

That's all I know about them.

I've heard good things about them. I know Saturn has them in their Vues.

That's the motor being used in the US version of the Ariel Atom. They've got a supercharged version putting out 300hp.

I've ridden in one. It's faster than you could imagine.

Yeah, the 4-banger in my dad's Vue isn't half bad. I knew one kit car used it...forgot it was the Atom. Gascan on wheels with 300 hp. Gotta be fun!

H <---wants to borrow the Elise someone parks a few blocks from me each day. Another ultra-light (but much less powerful) car. Though shakes his head everytime he sees the guy who owns Popeyes/Copelands driving around in a Ferrari or Lambo, as the potholes here have already beaten the hell out of his own 325's suspension.
