    help on a old 1972 Chrysler 318

    i have a old 1972 Chrysler 318 motor . and the dist. is missing one of the clips that hold the dist.cap in place .this is a point type dist . any one have any ideas on were i can find a clip for this . or what /were to go to find a eletroic replacement dist ?

    Sounds like it should be available at your local MOPAR dealer.

    Have you tried there? AFAIK, that motor was made for a very long time.

    Just about any '70s factory electronic ignition distributor will fit. I'd hit a parts store for a replacement. Chrysler started offering electronic ignition (IIRC) in '71 or '72...
