Thread: WTB: 4 or 8 meg AGP video card w/ TV-out

I'm looking to buy a 1x AGP video card, 4 or 8 megs on it, w/ TV out. I would really like it if I could get a card with 3DFX enabled. 12 or 16 megs is even alright...needs to be agp 1x tho, can't be 2x or faster. it's for an old motherboard...and I would like TV in/out on it if I can get it....

An ATI all in wonder / monster 3d 2 8 meg mix would be nice for me...

I am willing to do 1 AGP card + 1 or 2 PCI cards deal too. I can offer cash, but have plenty to trade, so would rather do that.

Please lemme know if you guys can find me a deal

    Thanks,

    Tibor

AGP2X and AGP4X videocards are backward compatible. This means you don't have to look for an AGP 1X videocard but can use a AGP2X or 4X videocard if you desire tambrus.

3dfx is a videocard maker. They were bought by Nvidia another videocard maker yesterday. There will be a couple more driver releases and then there will be no more support since 3dfx will be gone.

My question is do you really need a 3dfx card? The only thing 3dfx cards can do that non-3dfx cards can't do is run old glide games. Glide is 3dfx's almost extinct api to accelerate games by the way.

Well, I have this ATI Rage Furry MAXX card, and also the Diamond S540 Xtreme card, both AGP, and neither works in that motherboard for the AMD 450...so is the agp slot just broken or whats up? Both cards work, I've tried that.

Maybe I just need to test a 1x agp card before I go out buying one...

It doesn't need to be 3dfx..I just need a cheap card that's under $50, that I can use for playing games, as well as accelerating my DVD in my computer.

Red face Voodoo 3 AGP is a glorified PCI card! Its true its true.

As you've found out AGP videocards and AMD K6's just don't mix. The Voodoo 3 is the best videocard to use with that processor tambrus.

The voodoo 3 pci or AGP? Which one should I use?

That's good cuz that card is pretty cheap...

    Thanks,

Use whichever one you want. There's little or no performance difference between them.

    Naw, not anymore, thanks.

I decided to post the mobo and chip up for sale.
    Thanks for the offer, though.
