You could pick up Lindsay Lohan for less than a intel 990x, and still have money left over to bail her outta jail

Is he going to retire in 2 years?

Me: Never. I thought about it a few times, though.

I tried to a couple times, specifically NROTC and marine corps reserves while in college. I failed the physical both times because of the knee reconstruction surgery I had when I was 17.
    I think over again
    My small adventures, my fears.
The small ones that seemed so big,
For all the vital things I had to get and to reach.

And yet there is only one great thing, the only thing:

To live to see the great day that dawns,
And the light that fills the world.

Yes. IF we were at a different base with a different immediate chain of command, he might have the desire to stay in. But, yes, we are out in 2 years.

    Not I.

If the political climate had been different I probably would have gone to college and/or grad school through the service. Meaning... if we had a more libertarian government the military would be much much more attractive to me. But as is, no way in hell would I have been interested in serving under Clinton or Bush.

3.5 years, Republic of Korea Air Force, purely out of legal obligation. Completed my service 2 years ago. I know it's an honorable deed to serve one's country, but if I had the choice I probably wouldn't have done it. I still can't help wondering every once in a while how much farther ahead I would be had I spend that time pursuing my professional career. No point in looking back now though. It was a priceless experience nonetheless.

I have not, though I have thought about it, especially when I was starting med school years ago. Problem is, I'm stuck with migraines. Inherited them. And that would DQ me from joining.

Was in the Army Reserves as well as doing ROTC until I hurt my back. Looking to go back in as a chaplain.
