And if you really use all of those, then that's one lucky and fortunate boyfriend.

$20 gift card to Future Shop (Canadian retailer like Best Buy)

$30 gift card to Memory Express (a local computer shop)

Book 2 in the Genesis of Shannara series by Terry Brooks

Lion King snow globe (probably my favorite gift being that this is my favorite movie for a few reasons).

Fleece sweater (for those long winter nights)

London Fog winter coat (nice and comfy winter jacket with BIG pockets)

    A few random DVDs

    iRobot Roomba 560 Vacuum robot.

All in all, not a ton of stuff, but rather stuff I'm quite happy with. Christmas went by way too quick this year for me though.

Well I was very blessed again this Christmas. I had all the kids home last night for our big Christmas Eve Dinner, then we went to Midnight Mass -which was beautiful, before they all departed for their perspective homes. I got alot of things, but nothing meant as much as my kids all being home. Now THAT was the best gift ever!

Good luck on the shop. Let us know when you open so I can place my online order.

Got to see the smiles on the kids faces when they opened their gifts, and the older kids got me an authentic Dorsett jersey.

Lots of gift cards this year in my family - I got Starbucks, Penneys, Best Buy, Target...along with a couple of DVD's (Hairspray, 2 copies of POTC3, 3 seasons of Sex in the City, High School Musical), some books, and a bunch of other stuff.

My most cherished present is from my 9 year old son, who "shopped" for me at the USO-sponsored "Santa Store". He got me a gold chain necklace and a golden-colored crystal stretchy bracelet. Both which I wore with great pride today

Companies love gift cards. Lots never get redeemed so they make money by really selling nothing. And those who do use them often end up using some of their own money too so they sell more stuff- after the holidays when the prices go back up. But they do make it easier for those hard to shop for people and let you get something you want instead of something you really didn't.

For me, I bought myself a nice 26 inch LCD monitor to edit my photos on. Even my bad shots look better on it! Had a Dell 10% off plus free shipping- couldn't pass that up. I did not realize how complicated it can be to pick out a LCD monitor these days. I wanted accurate colors and a nice size.

    Creative Zen Mp3 player (32gb).

I also got to spend the day with my family and see my niece laugh and giggle at her goofy uncle. Hanging with the fam was so much better than the loot.

well for the first half of Christmas, cause I went up to Nor Cal to be with my sister's and Brother In law's (I have only opened stuff from work, my sister and my Girl Friend and her family), I got the following:

Black Dog Ornament from GF's Dog
Star War's Calender from GF's Mom
Tie and a 49er dressed Build a Bear from GF
Silk painting and keychain pocket knife from Sister and Brother In law
BN Gift Card from school secret santa
two bottles of wine from Brother In Law's Parents

I head home via train today. But another great gift was being able to hang with my sister this Christmas. That was a blast. And add hanging with the new GF and her family as well. I'll update when I open more once I get home.

Some cologne, some Blues gear, a Scooba, and the big gift from the parents will allow us to furnish our kitchen with new appliances and the living room with new furniture. (and hopefully enough leftover to finally put a damn HD tv in the house.)

A BUNCH of logic problem and brain puzzler books. I had mentioned a month ago or so that I started doing crossword puzzles on the subway commute, and particularly enjoyed the logic problems. Eegad, the deluge! I didn't realize I was so hard to shop for!

A glass carp statuette from Japan.
    A Red Sox alarm clock.
    An illustrated history of baseball.
    Couple cozy pullover shirts.
Gift certificates to Borders and Macy's
    Frank Zappa - Sheik Yerbouti

Two Borders GCs, a small bowl for dip, a mixing bowl, pair of socks, a croquet set, and a polo shirt. Might be forgetting another small item or two. My brothers and I were really glad that our parents cut back on the needless presents this year as requested. It avoided a lot of awkwardness and having to return things we don't need. Not that I don't appreciate the thought... it's just that at this point it's wasteful.

Best present was 4 days with my family. My father's mother was at my parent's house the whole time and it was great to spend some quality time with her. She's 95 and sharp as a tack, loves to play cards, walks with a cane but is otherwise in pretty good shape. I can't help worrying about her not being around next year- not many people make it to that age. 'Course I've been worrying about that for a while, but she keeps going.

Also got to catch up with two of my good friends. Got to play with my friend's two-year-old niece, she's a riot. I'm the type who always gets the kids all wound up and running around crazily. It's funny 'cause they usually don't know how to react when an adult starts making faces at them and acting goofy. Her mother said she wasn't sure which one of us was two, hehehe. Kids are great.
