Best Buy gift cards: I got $15 from the GA Secret Santa, $30 from another of my SS exchanges. Scott & I got $100 from his parents for Xmas and we each got $50 from my bro & sis-in-law for bday/xmas gifts. Made $245 total. The camera was $179, the camera bag on sale for $23, the memory card was on sale for $19. So have about $7 left on one gc. AND, we didn't realize it til we got home and already had it ready to go in the camera, but instead of the 1gb that we'd ordered (& picked up), they gave us a 2gb. oops. heh

Looking good Jenny. If you have not, may condider some rechargable batteries for it. It is nice that it uses AA size.
I add new pictures to my photo gallery pretty regularly. You can see them here if you are interested: http://www.pbase.com/jeffryz

Great to see another happy Canon owner....I *love* my Canon SD700IS (although I wish I had thought to cover the viewing screen with the protective film ~before~ our vacation to Hawaii).

Even though I'm a dog person, those kitties (and the kidlet!) look awful cuddly!!!

    Those pics look great!

I'm seriously considering getting a different camera. The older Pentax I got for my brother years ago takes fabulous pics, so I got a newer model for myself about a year ago but the colors never look quite right and the pics look all washed out... not at all nicely saturated like yours. Grr.

I just got a Canon SD1000. Anyone have one and would share their experience with it?

I just did a side-by-side comparison between the SD1000 and the SD750 (my new "replacement" camera) and they are the same except for some small cosmetic changes and the 750 has a larger viewing screen.

I've had my SD700IS for 1.5 years and love, love, love it. I was able to take a ton of pictures in Hawaii and blow them up to 11 x 14 with virtually no loss of clarity. I would like to take some time with this new camera to learn to use the special features (color swap, color accent, etc.) and get more out of it.

Maybe someday I can take pictures like ZippyJuan!

Thanks all. They are our babies, that's for sure. Fluffy is mainly all fur. lol She really isn't heavy at all. Mystery isn't fat really. He's LOOONG and is heavy but not fat. Ben on the other hand... The older he gets, the bigger he gets. He's always been a big cat. heh
